You are an extraordinary person. Not only did you take a chance and give notice to a cause that is bigger than yourself, but you also are intuitive enough to discover why this outlet was created.

 

Every young woman that participates in these conversations taking place on these blogs, written solely by female students, utimately becomes a part of a revolution that has been centuries in the making.

P.O.W.E.R. stands for Peers for Optimum Womens Empowerment and Rights...thus stating our goal of serving as a platform dedicated completely to the thoughts and opinions of young women from all walks of life on the social issues happening in America. It  is our belief that by increasing conversation, the interactions of women in activism will grow and the conciousness of the female gender will rise as well.

 

To start conversation, we divided all issues that mainly pertain to women into three categories; race, gender and religion. Don`t let the tags scare you, there are many issues that don`t fit into one category and many problems can be put under one category.

Whether you write one word or debate for hours at a time, knowledge is power and in order to start movement towards the end of discrimination against females in the modern world; we encourage girls to raise the insight of P.O.W.E.R. to the next level!
